Our first BYO7 event happened on a sunny August day in San Francisco.
Seven artists showed up with seven prints each. They left with seven prints by someone else.
That’s BYO7. Bring your own 7.
A 7” square print swap with friends and strangers who become collectors of each other’s work.
BYO7 is the inclusive art swap component of Print Club, a program to connect with physical artifacts by digital artists, offline.
We’re taking it on the road, with your help!
The event format is high on vibes and low on logistics, making it easy for you to host a BYO7 anywhere in the world.
Be the reason your city gets a BYO7.
Get credited as a CODAME curator, plus a 12” collector print and a free month of Print Club for every subscriber you bring in.
The role
There are two ways to help:
A lead represents Print Club inside a CODAME event where the venue is already set.
A host runs a BYO7 from scratch in their city.
Leads and hosts
One call with us beforehand
Invite and confirm artists on ARTEX
Promote the event locally and tag
@codameRun the swap and encourage Print Club subscriptions
Get a group photo and some social content, yourself or with a volunteer
Hosts also
Find a venue. The requirements are flexible. A café, gallery, studio, office, or even your living room works
Set the date with us. We list it on CODAME’s Luma and add you as co-host
Your kit and the vibe
What we send you
A set of Curator Proofs: Print Club prints held by hosts so there’s stock at every event, outside the regular edition cycle
Print Club signage with the QR code
CODAME playlists and sizzle reels
Sleeves to encourage swaps and sales
Setting the vibe
Use what the venue has. If there’s built-in sound, play the playlist through it. If not, bring a portable speaker. If there’s a TV or display, run the sizzle reels on it. If not, a laptop or tablet works.
Natural or overhead light is fine. A few purple or UV flood lights set the CODAME mood, even in a bright room.
Offer sleeves to confirmed artists ahead of time and keep some on the table to help swaps and sales.
Bring your own playlist. Or use ours:
🎧 @ Cafe Suspiro 🎧 @ SF Design Week 🎧 @ The Momentary
How sales work
Artists keep all of their own sales.
Anyone who subscribes to Print Club at the event and shows you their confirmation picks a Curator Proof to take home that night. They get art now and art in the mail every month.
What you get
Credit as part of the CODAME team and as a curator on ARTEX
A 12” collector print as thanks
A free month of Print Club for every subscriber from your city. The more guests you sign up, the more art you get. You’ll get a promo code to vote and enter your shipping details at printclub.codame.org
Berlin: looking for a lead

Bruno is running the event and launching ARTEX there, so he won't have bandwidth to also represent Print Club. We're looking for someone who will.
The venue and audience are taken care of, and Bruno is bringing your Curator Proofs. Your job is to look after the Print Club table for the night. Show people the format, get artists swapping, answer questions about the program, and help visitors subscribe at printclub.codame.org. If you have favorite Berlin artists, invite them to bring prints.
Please apply by Oct 30th
Shanghai: looking for a host
📅 Dec 2026 📍 Venue: TBD 🎟️ LUMA RSVP ⌛ Apply Now
We’re planning a Shanghai event for December but don’t have a venue yet. A café, gallery, studio, shop, or office all work.
We’ll run the online side, including a CODAME community on WeChat, so you can focus on the room.
Your city
Hosting works the same way anywhere. A café counter worked for us in San Francisco. It can work for you too. Pick a venue sized to match your ambitions! Tell us your city, your scene, and why you’d like to do it.
More about Print Club
The format borrows from vinyl. We were inspired by The Secret 7” charity project and by collectors of promotional 12” record flats. The square prints fit sleeves and frames people can easily buy. It’s small enough to be collectable and large enough to feel like a fine artifact.
Because CODAME celebrates art and technology, every piece needs a digital copy to submit. Beyond that, any means of creation is welcome, including scans or photos of fully physical work.
Print Club runs on ARTEX, a platform Bruno is building to host art programs like this one. It handles calls for artists, events, and subscriber voting.
